Jamaican singer, songwriter, and lead vocalist for the reggae and ska band “Toots and the Maytals”, Frederick Nathaniel “Toots” Hibbert will never be forgotten. He was a part of the creation of popular songs such as “Sweet and Dandy”, “That’s My Number” and “Beautiful woman” – just to name a few. He travelled to many different countries to share his musical journey and success. Toots participated in many interviews and live performances locally and globally showcasing his passion and growth in his musical career.

The unforgettable ” Funky Kingston” album converted Toots into a well-known international star. His last album “Got To Be Tough” was produced in 2020. Toots is remembered as a professional, and a performer on the stage.

On September 11, the world lost a musical giant to COVID-19. He was admitted to the University Hospital of the West Indies, in St Andrew. He was 77 years old when he died.

Toots’ unique style in music and dress will be a unique signature in the entertainment industry, which will never be forgotten.
